Abstract

Enter into force of two decrees of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (№ 1111 та № 1112) caused the necessity of definition and comparative evaluation of existing scientometric databases from different (author’s / editor’s / administrator’s) points of view. World’s global bibliometric databases (Web of Science, Scopus and РИНЦ) and their quantitative indexes are considered in the article; their benefits and shortcomings are analysed. Among mentioned databases Scopus could be considered as optimal by ratio of quality level to possibility of integration of Ukrainian scientific articles and issues into world’s scientific space. Particular attention is given to the system of Google Scholar and specialized search platform PubMed.
