Abstract

The report states that according to explored reserves and forecast resources, Ukraine has the largest lithium deposits in Europe. However, the development of these deposits is associated with a number of problems, primarily of an economic nature, since Ukrainian lithium-bearing ores are mainly represented by petalite, while 99.9% of the world lithium pegmatite analogues are represented with spodumene. Thus, the creation of a new technology for separating this metal from petalite requires significant capital investments.
