Abstract

The report notes the uniqueness of long-term ultra-low-frequency electromagnetic observations for monitoring global thunderstorm activity conducted in Antarctica and the Arctic by scientists from the Institute of Radio Astronomy of the NAS of Ukraine. The most important results concerning physical modeling of world thunderstorm activity, revealing of new patterns in the behavior of the ionosphere, tracking of artificial electromagnetic radiation of power networks of industrialized regions of the Northern Hemisphere are given.
