Scientific and Technical Support of Works to Overcome the Consequences of the Chernobyl Disaster

Abstract

The report notes the role of scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in solving current scientific and technical problems related to the aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster. The experience of the Institute for Safety Problems of Nuclear Power Plants of the NAS of Ukraine on scientific and technical support of works aimed at overcoming the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster and transformation of the Shelter into an environmentally safe system is considered, and areas of further research are outlined.
