“Academperiodyka,” the Publishing House of the NAS of Ukraine and the Centre for Intellectual Property Studies and Technology Transfer of the NAS of Ukraine have prepared an official translation of two agreements that the founding institutions of scientific periodicals should conclude with authors of scientific materials submitted for publication. These agreements are annexes to the Regulations on the Use of Intellectual Property Rights at the NAS of Ukraine, approved by the Order of the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine No. 352 “On Amendments to the Regulations on the Use of Intellectual Property Rights in the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on the Application of Open Access Licenses,” dated June 13, 2024. The agreements can be used unchanged, or one can develop documents for a particular journal on their basis.
Appendix 1: Sample license agreement for the use of a work on open access terms is concluded for periodicals that do not use the electronic editors' tools and facilities. The author (or all co-authors, or a representative of the co-authors with their consent) and the director of the institution that is the media entity for the relevant publication must sign this agreement.
Appendix 2: Sample electronic license agreement for the use of a work on the terms of open access is an agreement of accession that the author signs by filling in the field on consent to the terms of publication of materials in the publication on the publication's website, submitting the material through the electronic editorial office.
