Abstract

Agilent Technologies presents a new element analysis instrument - atomic emission spectrometer with a microwave excited plasma MP-4100. Generator with radiation frequency of 2.46 GHz allows plasma heating in the atmosphere of nitrogen obtained from air. Abandonment of argon as the plasma forming gas dramatically reduces operation expenses of the device. Element concentration detection limit - about 10-9. The device outperforms flame atomic absorption spectrometers and does not consume combustible gases.
