System of corrosion monitoring of pipelines (SCMP) is developed. It is intended for detection of damaged areas of protective coating, measurement of pipeline potentials (corrosion, polarization, protective, cross-section and longitudinal gradients), soil corrosive activity (pipeline metal corrosion rate at different levels of its bedding) and residual corrosion rate of pipeline metal in coating defects. SCMP is applied at technical maintenance of operating pipelines and building of new ones.
