Abstract

The computational experiment has been conducted and ways of upgrading the low-pressure cylinder (LPC) in the turbine type K-300-240 have been suggested taking into account the turboset load schedule and energy loss in the exhaust. Concrete alternatives of low-cost LPC upgrading have been given, which ensure a power boost within the range of 1,000-3,500 kW per exhaust. The problem has been solved using a simulation-program package for multiobjective and multilevel optimisation developed at A.N.Podgorny IPMash NAS of Ukraine.
